  Went there for a wedding. The building and the surroundings were magnificent. With the food and the service we weren't very pleased. Maybe It was because the wedding was on Sunday, because all my references agreed food and service were exceptional when they were there.

  The nuns relocated around 15 years ago, and an excellent conversion of the convent has taken place to turn it into a relatively small boutique hotel. It feels as if their main business is weddings, saddling the weekends - we were here midweek and only myself and my colleagues were present. That was no bad thing, as it meant we could decamp to one of the lounges for work discussions pre-dinner in the evening and it was as if we had a conference room (with a drinks cabinet of which the contents were included). A very calm, mindful place to stay, and excellent for business. However, be aware that only a limited continental breakfast is available (with the offer of a plain omelette in addition), and there are no other food facilities in-house - so no lunch or dinner, and no room service. There are a number of very good restaurants within a couple of minutes walk, but that meant we got wet (heavy rain, unusually, during our visit), and for those frequent travellers, sometimes you just want to relax in your room with your dinner - not an option here.

  Went here for a family lunch (20+ people). The food was tasty and filling, the waiters were attentive and they made sure we went through the snacks, the patio where we ate was quiet, warm and very well lit and the convent gave it a unique personality.
